What Is Cataclysm?
- Cataclysm is the third expansion for World of Warcraft.
Where Is Cataclysm taking place?
- Cataclysm will take place on the original continents of Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor. However, due to a “cataclysmic” event, nearly every zone will change in some way.
When Is Cataclysm launching?
- Other than Blizzard’s canned response of “when it’s ready”, many believe it will launch sometime this fall. It is currently in testing and Blizzard has asked us to opt-in to the beta test recently.
Why Is Cataclysm happening?
- From the official site: “… an ancient evil has been lying dormant within Deepholm, the domain of earth in the Elemental Plane(Deathwing). Soon, Deathwing the Destroyer will return to Azeroth, and his eruption from Deepholm will sunder the world, leaving a festering wound across the continents.”
Who is the main enemy is Cataclysm?
- Deathwing. All you really need to know is he is the father of Onyxia and Nefarian, so basically he is a badass dragon. He’s been sleeping underneath Azeroth and has been plotting his revenge while we fought the Lich King in Northrend. When he does come from underneath us, he will basically destroy a lot of the lands we know.
