As of this morning, the Associated Press reported that Circuity City is offically closing down all 567 stores nationwide. The company struggled to find a buyer, and filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November 08. 30,000 jobs are now in jeopardy as the company begins to liquidate its inventory and assets.
As a former employee of Circuit City, I have many friends who work there and I wish them the best, as well as any other employees.
