On Tuesday, the Stimulus Map Pack DLC content for Modern Warfare 2 on the Xbox 360 was released, but didn’t release without issues. There was a scheduled title update to go along with the Stimulus DLC, but the Map Pack was available before the title update. Then the problems were born. This caused matchmaking to become difficult in the Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox Live. The Xbox Live Operations team mentioned that this issue was fixed around 11am Pacific, but that wasn’t the end of the issues. It seems that Pre-Paid cards for the Stimulus Map Pack DLC that were purchased from some retailers are not yet activated on Xbox Live.
There are also some Marketplace issues hanging around as well. This isn’t surprising to me since this is the first Map Pack for Modern Warfare 2 to be released thus far, and if half of the 25 million unique players download this map you are bound to have a snag.
More updates as they come in!
